The second day of the III International Exhibition of Calligraphy has started with a master-class lead by Manohar Desai, a renowned calligrapher from India. The maitre conducted a master class entitled "Remove color, brush stroke and white paper sheet space phobia by practicing letter compositions”. After that Valentina Kozhevina from Russia and a famous Frenchman of Iranian descent Hassan Makaremi demonstrated their skill to the audience. A great number of master classes were held this day. In particular, Bronislav Vinogrodsky, a well-known Sinologist talked about the sacred nature of calligraphy and Michelle D'Anastasio - about modern Jewish calligraphy.
For the first time in Veliky Novgorod a wakeboarding tournament for WakeWorld Russia Cup took place within the framework of the exhibition. Best professional riders from Russia, Europe and Asia competed on the Volkhov river. The winner of the tournament is Gosha Hudnitsky from St. Petersburg, Lota (Thailand) and Ian Calvet (France) went second and third respectively.
Once again Sergei Mitin, Governor of the Novgorod Region visited the exhibition. He reviewed a familiar exposition and then handed a certificate to Alexey Shaburov, General Manager of the International Exhibition of Calligraphy as a token of gratitude.
A concert was held at the end of the day. It was organized with the support of the Administration of Veliky Novgorod, Novgorod Region Administration and the Committee on Culture, Tourism and Archives of the Novgorod Region.
Under the project "Museum Night" the exhibition closed at 2 A.M.
