Aleksei Shaburov, Director of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy received a letter of thanks from Aleksei Levykin, Director of the State Historical Museum (SHM). Head of the SHM is grateful for the assistance in the design of stylized XVII century letters. That work was performed by Yuri Koverdyayev, curator of the National School of Calligraphy.
The letter also notes that the creation of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy is an important step in preserving the traditions of calligraphy. In addition the initiative of opening the National School of calligraphy is supported.
In conclusion, Mr. Levykin emphasized that it is very important to establish the creative and business interaction between the SHM and the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy and hopes to further cooperation.
To date, the State Historical Museum is the largest national historic museum in Russia.
