Pointed Pen at the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy

Last Sunday, March 12th, the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy held a workshop on pointed pen techniques. The teacher of the National School of Calligraphy Artyom Lebedev explained the basics of working with the pointed pen and the most popular script written with it: Copperplate. After diligent practicing of basic strokes and letters the participants went on to studying decorative flourishes typical for pointed pen techniques, and finally were able to create a decorated lettering composition.
