Meeting of the International Exhibition of Calligraphy Task Force
The first meeting of Sokolniki MEC new project’s task force was held on January 15th, 2008. Alexey Shaburov, the initiator and author of the project, President of MEC Sokolniki, and Maria Makeyeva, the project’s coordinator, introduced the conception of the exhibition to the company’s project team. They touched upon the problems of organization, venue, timing, financing. Areas of inpidual responsibility were distributed among the team members. The project is will be launched on February 15th, 2008 in Sokolniki at a friendly meeting of the task force and support group (calligraphers participating in the International Exhibition of Calligraphy and all those whose passion is the art of beautiful handwriting).
The first project event will be held in St Petersburg in September 2008. Later on, it will be presented at Equiros-South in Rostov-on-Don in October 2008, then in the State Duma of the Russian Federation and some other Moscow industrial tradeshows organized by Sokolniki MEC.
