Unique Handwritten Books From the Library Funds exhibition was officially opened at Ahmed Zaki Validi National Library of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
According to Aigul Yaparova, Press-secretary of the library, the first part of the exhibition is compiled of handwritten notebooks written in the 19th century by Gali Sokroi, a famous Bashkir religious figure, poet and educator. Eight notebooks of the educator reflect his activities in different genres: epistolary, poetry, prose and journalism.
The second section of the exhibition presented 12 manuscripts of the 19th century in the language old Turkic: religious munazhat, instructive hikayat and manuscripts on trainings; the Arab-Turkic Radiant Dictionary; Muhammadiyah, a collection of poetry dedicated to the Prophet Muhammad written by Muhammad Chalabi; a shakird’s notebook of Madrasa in Sterlibashevo that includes students’ records. The exposition is also decorated with manuscripts of historical value: poetical works by Alisher Navoiy, Ummi Kamal and Muhammad Chalabi.
