French artist Julien Breton who is also known as Kaalam had started calligraphy of light in 2001, by transferring the images of Arabic world calligraphy. This self-taught photographer had travelled around the world and created incredible light paintings by using long exposure photography. All the pictures you may see below were captured by camera and not made by Photoshop or any graphic editors.
While creating his calligraphy works, Julien uses an excerpt for 30 seconds to several minutes. During this time Julien draws his calligraphy by using a light stick. His passion for writing in light started with a simple flick of his hand and when he noticed that a luminous trail appeared in the frame, and then he began to experiment and evolve in it. Gradually his interest grew and he became a master of light calligraphy. Julien was invited to the exhibition art where he had performed a series of luminous calligraphy with lighting design of Arabic letter in front of audiences around the world.
