The first Far East exhibition of calligraphy opened in Khabarovsk, featuring pieces by Chinese and Russian artists. Residents of Khabarovsk are welcome to come and enjoy the works as well as to try their hand in this art form so popular in China.
The first floor of the museum hosts works by artists from Khabarovsk, Ussuriysk and Blagoveshchensk while the exhibition of works by guests from the Celestial Empire is located on the second floor.
The exhibition is organized by the Creative Union of Artists of Russia Khabarovsk public organization and Khabarovsk Chinese Association, supported by the local administration.
«Our countries are neighbours and it is great that given such a diversity of cultures we are able to perceive each other's art enriching our inner world», said Guan Ling Chi, the Deputy Consul General of China in Khabarovsk at the exhibition opening ceremony.
The exhibition is open until September 25.
