Standing in front of the Tengwang Pavilion, a famous ancient Chinese tower in the Jiangxi province, on show is a 48-meter-long calligraphy work of a preface to the building on August 12th, 2014. Created by contemporary calligrapher and painter Lin Lizhong, the work records the 800-character ancient prose masterpiece «Preface to Tengwang Pavilion» of Wang Bo, a gifted poet of the Tang Dynasty (618–907). Tengwang Pavilion, together with the Yellow Crane Tower (Huanghe Lou) in Wuhan, Hubei province, and Yueyang Pavilion in Hunan province are renowned as three of the most notable pavilions in China.
