The 2nd International Exhibition of Calligraphy
It may so happen that some of our visitors would experience a craving for spiritual advancement. Let this article not appear as shameless boastful advertising, but as a humble description of a socially and educationally relevant and beneficial undertaking.
In 2009, the title of the Calligraphic Capital of the World has been passed onto Moscow, the crossroads of the West and the East, of artists professional and amateur, of calligraphy classical and ultramodern. The exhibition will feature the works by renowned masters of calligraphy from thirty-three countries: exquisite samples of Slavonic and European writing, the accurate shapes of classical Japanese and traditional Chinese calligraphy, refined and sophisticated inscriptions in Hebrew and Arabic calligraphy.
Muscovites will have a unique opportunity to contemplate rare manuscripts, Guinness recorded chefs d’oeuvre as well as to participate in mini-festivals of Japanese, Tibetan, Slavic cultures and in calligraphy master-classes.
The exhibition enjoys the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO and the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation; it was also hailed by the Russian Orthodox Church, the Chief Rabbinate of Russia, and the Russian Buddhist community. All these facts attest to the event’s significance in the cause of the preservation of the world’s cultural heritage.

Adults – 300 RUR;
Students (Student’s ID card required) – 150 RUR;
Children under 14, retirees and people with special abilities – free of charge;
An album with the Mystery of the World Calligraphy collection’s masterpieces – 700 RUR.
In the case that you purchase the album, you will get a special badge for free entrance to the exposition at all times (it can be passed to relatives and friends).
